Delete your account

Deleting your CIT.ED account permanently removes your profile, posts, comments, Evidence Cards, saves, follows, collections, listings, connected podcasts, verification applications and uploaded files. It happens straight away and cannot be undone.

In the app

Open your profile, tap the menu, then Settings → Delete account. Type your handle to confirm. This works the same in the iPhone, iPad and Android apps and in the web app.

What we keep

Subscription and payout records that the law requires us to keep for tax and accounting, held without your name, profile or posts, and a record of any moderation decisions. Posts other people wrote that cite yours stay theirs, with the link to your post removed. See the privacy policy.

Before you delete

CIT.ED Plus: deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in your phone’s subscription settings first.

Creator earnings: if you have unpaid earnings, email support first so we can pay you.
